Research, Teaching, and Service at the Intersection of Environment and Society
My research focuses on understanding designing and planning for sustainability, resilience, and justice. I am interested in how design and planning can contribute to improved futures in cities and in food-energy-water systems. My research covers a variety of topics under this umbrella, including urban agriculture, infrastructure design, and agricultural adaptation. For more information on my research and these projects, see Research.
I am also dedicated to training the next generation of practitioners who will be on the front lines of growing social-environmental crises like climate change. For more information on my teaching, see Teaching, and to inquire about guest speaking, reach out.Â
